Let me start by saying it’s been almost a year since traveling to India for my cousin’s wedding. It’s been even longer since I’ve added new content to this blog. I have no excuse for the blog in general, but when it comes to India, I think I needed months to process the experience.
I could describe all of the things you’ve already heard about India: exotic delicious food or comment on the crowded, dirty streets or the endless parade of colorful saris. But for me the experience was so new, so complex and so exhilarating it has been difficult to share my thoughts.
Maybe it’s best to let a few of my trip photos and some of my subsequent paintings speak for themselves. As time goes by I’m sure I’ll find more words to express the experience but I have a feeling that will require another visit.
